Wandering in search of answers in unfamiliar places.

The social impact game Survivance was originally designed with videos from the Wisdom of the Elders Discovering Our Story project. The game is now archived and serves as a model for communities to adapt into their own version of the game.

The Wanderer quests include Searching, Collective Identity, and Wounded Hoop.

The Searching Quest

Seek out a story from your tribe/nation. It can be any form of story, such as traditional or historical. You can hear stories by attending events, asking relations, or even reaching out online. How do you identify with the story? What is its meaning to you?

Create an act of survivance—a self-determined expression in any medium. Whether you share it and how is up to you.

The Collective Identity Quest

Reflect on the where relationships are healthy and unhealthy. Where do you feel support, love, and comfort? Where do you feel concerned, afraid, or isolated? How can you distance yourself from unhealthy interactions and center yourself on healthy ones?

Create an act of survivance—a self-determined expression in any medium. Whether you share it and how is up to you.

The WOUNDED Hoop Quest

What feelings of yours are caused by past trauma? These might be isolation, sadness, anger, fear, and despair.

You are not alone. Historical trauma has caused separation, silencing, and abuse which impact us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Create an act of survivance—a self-determined expression in any medium. Whether you share it and how is up to you.
